Your Milwaukee Summer Bucket List

Street festivals, outdoor activities, music, sun and much, much more. It must be summer in Milwaukee. But what to do with these precious months of warm weather? Try to see how many of these items you can cross of your bucket list before fall semester!

· Save some room in your stomach for Downtown Dining Week from June 1–8.

· Listen to Jazz in the Park, Milwaukee’s free, outdoor, summer music series, each Thursday starting June 1.

· Make your own buttons at the Bead and Button Show at the Wisconsin Center June 4–11.

· See you on the hill for Bay View’s Chill on the Hill, each Tuesday starting June 6.

· Celebrate Pridefest, one of the nation’s largest LGBT festivals, from June 9–11.

· Run your way to some free Summerfest tickets at the Summerfest Rock ‘n Sole Run on June 10. You can join the half-marathon, quarter-marathon or 5k, and there’s even a Run to Read for the kids!

· Get artsy and musical at the Locust Street Festival June 11.

· Bust a move every Wednesday at the River Rhythms music festival starting June 14.

· Love art? Attend Lakefront Festival of Art June 16–18.

· Don’t miss the largest Polish Fest in America June 16–18.

· Pick the perfect summer fruit at the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival June 24 and 25.

· Try all things garlic at the annual Walker’s Point Garlic Fest June 25.

· Sing along to your favorite songs at Summerfest, the World’s Largest Musical Festival, from June 28-July 2 and July 4–9.

· Watch the Milwaukee Lakefront Fireworks July 3. Don’t forget your red, white and blue!

· Travel to France at Bastille Days July 13–16.

· Watch planes soar through the sky at the Milwaukee Air & Water Show July 15 and 16.

· Eat, play and live Italian at Festa Italiana July 21–23.

· Get a week’s worth of exercise with Riverwest 24 July 28–29.

· Get your deutsch on at German Fest July 28–30.

· Feast with the beasts at Milwaukee a La Carte August 17–20.

· Discover something new at India Fest August 19.

· Get the sound, culture and taste of Mexico at Mexican Fiesta August 25–27.
