In a city filled with so many options for food, entertainment and fun, it can be difficult to narrow down all the places you want to take your family this Family Weekend. We thought we’d try to help with 11 of our favorite family-friendly MKE activities.
Milwaukee Public Museum
A trip to the public museum is a great way to learn about Milwaukee’s history, teach your younger siblings a few things about other cultures and hang out with butterflies!
Bounce Milwaukee
Spend the day hopping around Bounce Milwaukee! From laser tag to inflatable sports, you’re sure to find an activity the whole family can enjoy.
Milwaukee Art Museum
Show your family Milwaukee’s creative side at MAM! With gorgeous masterpieces indoors and a stunning view outdoors, you’re sure to find some inspiration for your own artwork.
Milwaukee Public Market
If you’re spending the day in the Third Ward, make sure to stop over at the Milwaukee Public Market where you can all kinds of food, drink tasty coffee and buy the whole fam a souvenir!
Milwaukee County Zoo
Visit our fuzzy friends at the Milwaukee County Zoo for a Halloween themed Boo at the Zoo. Younger sibs are going to love trick-or-treating with the lions, tigers and bears… OH MY!
Harley Davidson Museum
Pick out your dream bike at the Harley Davidson Museum! If you drop by on Saturday, you may even catch their weekly BBQ & Blues.
Mitchell Park Domes
The weather may be cooling down, but you can travel to tropical places with ease by visiting the Mitchell Park Domes!

Prowl Around Campus
After you speed through the Panther Prowl on Saturday morning, show your parents where all of your favorite classes are located and take part in all of UWM’s Family Weekend activities.
Sip & Purr
Have a quick cuddle session with the residents of Sip & Purr, Milwaukee’s new cat cafe on Ivanhoe. Maybe your parents will even take home a new family member!
Bublr Bike Ride
If you’re looking to get in some exercise with the fam, look no further than Bublr bikes! Ride along the lake for beautiful views, and stop for Northpoint Custard on the way.
